 MANINDER KAUR “MK”(PRESIDENT/CEO)
The CEO/President of the Mein Klasse and Heritage Boutique, Maninder Kaur or “MK” as she is fondly called personifies her dreams in the New World through the “Wear Your Heritage” theme, blending beauty as well as legacy in the Boutique and store started in the Bay area. Holding a graduate degree in Textile Designing from New Delhi, India and currently pursuing Master’s in Fashion Merchandising from the Academy of Art, San Francisco, it is MK’s education which has provided her a rock solid foundation and the background that helped in understanding the dynamics of the fashion industry. It was a proud moment for MK the day she saw the signage for the JJ Valaya Store come up next to the other reputed International Brands.
MK’s journey began from India and she lives up to her core beliefs by espousing community causes such as the Nargis Dutt Cancer Foundation where she held a Fashion Show along with most recent one at the South Asian Heart Centre in March 2009 amongst several causes she has dealt with in India, China and in the United States. She has brought the message of THE VALAYA FREE SPIRIT FOUNDATION, India to San Francisco not only to raise funds but also to create greater awareness of the girl child situation in India and worldwide. Opening of THE VALAYA FREE SPIRIT chapter in the Bay area makes the cause become truly global. |

 HARMAN KULAR (CFO)
Harman Kular who is the CFO of this Trust. Harman is a true Professional with a work experience of 20 years in Canada and is an MBA in General Management from Athabasca University. He has adopted a daughter of his own from India and the work of THE VALAYA FREE SPIRIT FOUNDATION is an integral part of his being. In his words “this is an opportunity not only to bring the subject to light but to awaken the magician in you”. Being a Plant Manager at Honeywell, Harman Kular has the essential corporate knowhow to efficiently promote philanthropic work. |

"Save the girl child foundation” immensely touched my heart. It is an honor to be a part of such a noble cause and spread awareness to “save the girl child”. I strongly believe "All human are created equal". No one should be suppressed only because of gender. If I can make any difference on a single suppressed girl it will make me happy.

Save the girl child foundation, works vigorously to support underprivileged girl children. Being a girl myself, I believe it is very important to make young girls around us aware of their self-worth, especially the under-privileged ones. It is an enlightening thought that I can represent this organization and contribute to its causes. |
